Here it is. My customary last post. 

CU activity has been something I look forward to. I've been coming to CU since form 1 and really I've seen everyone and myself grow. Not just physically but mentally and spiritually. CU has been a blessing to me all these years. It's a place of warmth, peace, friendliness and rest after a long week. It's the people that makes CU special and different from the rest.  

Generation after generations of leaders have come and gone. The cycle continues. Sometimes along the way I wanted to stop, cause I feel like I've been going nowhere with this, but God showed me otherwise. God has been blessing CU with great teachers, great leaders and great members. 

CU is different from other clubs. It's much more than just a club.

Thanks for all the fun and craziness. Thanks for the great times, the memories and the Friday afternoons spent together. I love you guys, the quiet ones, the noisy ones, the naughty ones, the nice ones, the big and tall ones...... I will always remember Kwang Hua CU!

the true meaning of EASTER

Many people are wondering what Easter actually means, as the true meaning of Easter has been lost. What I can tell you is it isn’t about cute little fluffy chickens, nor does it have anything to do with Easter bunnies. It isn’t even about Easter eggs. Although an egg can represent ‘new life’ because new life hatches from the egg, and Jesus was resurrected on the third day – giving us new life in Him. But just like Christmas, the real meaning has been forgotten. For those of us that are Christians, we understand what Easter is all about. But for those that haven’t experienced this ‘new life’ in Jesus, I want to share with you the Easter story.

In Old Testament times, the priest would bring bulls, goats or a spotless lamb without any blemishes to be sacrificed as a sin offering for himself and for the people. The blood would purify and make atonement (forgive, make amends) for their sins. This was the old order of atonement. When Jesus came, He was a representation of the sacrificial lamb to take away the sins of the world. He was the final sacrifice. We no longer have to sacrifice animals to make atonement for our sins. Jesus has done this once and for all. It’s His blood that cleanses us from all sin. He was crucified on the cross (the form of execution in those days). The sin of the world was upon Him, yet He was without sin and blameless. He bore it all. This is why Jesus is referred to as the ‘Lamb of God’. He was bodily resurrected (came back to life) on the third day. He appeared to many – eating and drinking with them. He appeared to them for 40 days, then ascended (went up to) Heaven.

JESUS IS ALIVE!!

you are a champion!

i was just reading chapter 4 of form 5 biology when i suddenly thought about what my pastor once said:"do you know that you are a champion, even before birth?"

well well.. indeed you are! you are the only sperm (among about 500 million sperms) that survived the journey. you swam all the way up the uterus. you fought the good fight and won yourself a golden ticket to planet earth!! wohhoo! how exciting!

you are the ultimate winner even before you were born. you are the champion!!!

so when someone calls you a loser, this is what you should say

:"hey! did you know that i was the ONLY sperm that manage to withstand bad conditions in the uterus and fallopian tube and defeated about 499 milion sperms at birth? so don't you dare call me a loser!!" ......... then you look at his expression, give him a BIG FAT smile and walk away. XD
